Mr. Emil Hannemann was the inventor of water level control for steam boilers.

1984

Acquisition by Mr. Seewald and change of name to SMR Steuer- Mess- und Regelarmaturen GmbH. Development of further valves for applications in the steam sector.

1985

Production of metal control and shut-off ball valves.

1986

TecTemp patent injection cooler with 90°C rotary movement.

1989

Merger of SMR Steuer- Mess- und Regelarmaturen GmbH with the ball valve division of Babcock Borsig Berlin GmbH.

1992

Founding of artec Armaturen- und Anlagentechnik GmbH in Leegebruch.

Division of the company and relocation of new valve production to Oranienburg.

2006

The design of soft-sealing and metal-sealing ball valves for a wide range of applications in the high-pressure range, high-temperature range and/or in abrasive fluids. The design of ceramic shut-off and control ball valves has been further developed.

2007

The design of the TecGate - the metal-sealing gas shut-off valve without oil filling for pressures up to PN100.

2011

The recently patented design of the TecTemp HT L injection cooler for modern combined cycle power plants for applications up to 720°C. This is a world-leading technology in the field of energy generation.
